Graphite Ore
A soft, dark mineral that sits in veins in stone and deepslate. Mining it gives graphite, a refractory: it stands up to heat that would ruin most things, which makes it useful wherever a furnace or crucible has to take a lot.
Finding it
Dig. Graphite hides in the ordinary rock of the Overworld, in stone and in the deepslate below it, as small seams of dark flecks. It is rarer than coal, so look along cave walls and keep an eye on the stone as you tunnel. Veins that lie in stone and in deepslate look the same apart from the rock around them.
Mining it
It is soft, softer than coal ore, but it still needs a pickaxe to give anything up. Mine it normally and you get graphite lumps. Silk Touch gives you the ore block itself.
What it is for
Graphite is a refractory, for the parts of a build that live next to the hottest fires. Making graphite from coal in a vessel is still possible, but that takes far more heat than any early fire reaches, so mining it is how you get your first.
Coal, iron, copper and gold now grow the same way, from Feedback's own ores: see Ore Deposits.
