Bearing

A Shaft with a proper bearing on it. It does exactly what a shaft does, but loses much less power to friction: 0.04 Su per RPM against a shaft's 0.1.

I is an Iron Ingot and S is a Shaft. Makes two.

Using it

Use it anywhere you'd use a shaft. It's worth it on long runs and fast lines, where friction adds up.

Bearings are also an ingredient in most of the shaft-driven workshop machines: the Wire Drawer, Rolling Mill, Mechanical Press, Drill Press, Lathe and Grinding Wheel.

Not to be confused with the bearing joints on a vehicle frame, which are a different thing entirely.
